Coachbuilt VW's are among the most sought after VW's for collectors. They are hand made bodies on a VW chassis. A few of the companies that did this were Rometsch, Dannenhauer & Stauss, and Hebmuller. When restoring these rare coachbuilt car is very time consuming. Parts are a new trick finding them. We are luck to have made some good friends in Europe where these cars are well known. The USA market was very limited to Los Angeles, New Youk and maybe more.
